“Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning”

“A red sunrise reflects the dust particles of a system that has just passed from the west. This indicates that a storm system may be moving to the east. If the morning sky is a deep fiery red, it means a high water content in the atmosphere. So, rain is on its way.” **

By the end of yesterday (Dec 7) the wind howled and hit 71 miles per hour. Blue was shaking and so was the motor home. Fortunately, the Motosat Internet satellite dish was in the down position. The awning on the “living room” slide sustained a bit of damage but can be repaired….my fault, I shouldn’t have left it out BUT I decided to test out my homemade awning support system. The force of the wind caused the system to slip backward allowing one of the supports to fall out the other end of the awning. This left the awning flapping in the heavy winds. I have to add, if the system hadn’t moved in the wind, everything would have worked flawlessly to keep the awning from flapping up and down. I also found a 2×4 foot plastic lid from one of my outdoor containers ripped to pieces about a quarter mile away. It must have given way and sailed through the air, smashing into trees along the way. damaged awning closeup of damaged awning  top of plastic sewer container
