My good friends Julianne and Jimmy left today after a fun week of exploring, eating, enjoying the weather and relaxing. You may recall Julianne Crane is the creator of the second highest rated travel blog, RV Wheel Life. Blue has found a soul mate in Jimmy. Blue would lead me to their RV every morning just to say hello. I really enjoyed seeing and being with familiar faces. Remember Julianne and Jimmy visited us at Zion in October.
During this trip we spent some time traveling to Tombstone and Bisbee. My favorite BBQ spot, the Triangle T Guest Ranch near the Cochise Stronghold and the Amerind Foundation Museum and Archeological Research Site is where we finished the day. The mesquite BBQ is a hopping place when in full swing but we hit it on a slow day. If you’re in the area, these are recommended places to visit.
Jimmy meets the Havelina posted outside the saloon’s bathrooms. This is one of the local animals which can do a lot of damage to humans and dogs. Havelina, or wild pigs often venture into human territory in search of food which can make them nuisance animals. I’ve yet to see one in the wild.
The saloon’s bar sits around a large rock. The mural on the wall depicts various movie stars and locals who spent time at the ranch.
So, with Blue sadly gazing out the window we said goodbye to our friends who are headed off to the Colorado River to test Jimmy’s new Porta-Bote as they make their way north to Spokane. Be sure to check RV Wheel Life to see how their trip goes. Can’t wait to see you guys again!
