It was my privilege to meet Gabe and Leslie Fisher as they spent a few nights here at Kartchner Caverns Campground. We had a nice visit and discussed their new travel web site Destination America which a web-based, travel magazine, aimed at providing readers with experienced, first-hand accounts of North America’s most exciting and unique places to visit. The site is geared towards the eclectic traveler on a conservative budget. Features will include not only the outdoors but the arts and culture of each destination.
Their “Free or Nearly Free” feature is a must read. Gabriel and Leslie have backgrounds in design and journalism, respectively, in 2009 they packed up an RV and hit the road with their dog, Sandy, to seek out and write about the great places America has to offer.
