Ever since the Daimler-Chrysler commercial titled “Infinite Possibilities” aired a few years back I’ve been intrigued with the Smart Car concept and the possibility of using it instead of my gas guzzling Jeep Liberty. This week in Zion we had some folks visiting who traveled in their Diesel Smart Car from Canada to Utah and we’re planning to continue on to Florida. Now, I’m thinking about this little car again. If it can handle a long trip like the one their taking it could easily handle small trips. With the diesel version of the car they spent about 60 dollars to get here from Canada. It averages 60 miles to the gallon and they claim there was no problem keeping up with the fast Utah drivers doing 75 mph plus. The only problem says Sharalyn and Keith is the attention the car gets. They now put an informational sign in the rear window when they are parked.
