For the first time since 2007 three Portland friends meet up again – that big dude in the middle is me.
When I first retired, Lee Burbank (The Burbank Company – CEO), Joyce Caudell (Nurse Instructor) and myself were all solo RVers living at the Columbia River RV Park in Portland, Oregon. We turned into good Happy Hour buddies and decided to take a trip together to Zion National Park and meet up with my TV reporter friend, Shellie Bailey-Shah and her family (they were taking their first RV vacation). This was the same time I took my first volunteer job at Zion. At the end of the trip, I remained in Utah and waved goodbye to everybody and didn’t see them all together again until now. Not a big deal I suppose, but for us it was a long overdue reunion. This coming week we again all head off in different directions hoping to reunite sometime, somewhere down the road.
