Cataldo along the River

That’s us in the trees. What a great place to spend the night. We’ll be somewhere in Montana tomorrow evening. For the last several days we’ve been staying with Mack and Patty Ledgerwood in Pasco, WA. They are Blue’s first family.   Cataldo is one of Mack’s favorite biking areas with 73 miles of trails and ponds. The little RV park along the river is the Kahnderosa Campground. It’s right at the heart of the Trail of the Coeur d’ Alenes paved bike trail. There is a lot of traffic crossing the bridge so there is some noise but jump on your bike and head up the trail and you’re in for a treat of silence occasionally broken by the call of an elk. Moose are common along the river and amid the lily pads in the sloughs along the trail. I’m tempted to spend another day here.

Blue, glad to be on solid ground

Temperature at Cataldo is 85 degrees F.

The little oval below Hwy 90 is the Kanderosa Campground
