We left Pasco, WA around noon and arrived in Mountain Home. Idaho at 6:30pm Mountain Time…a 5 hour trip, but there was a time change.
Approaching Cabbage Hill and Deadman’s Pass. This is one steep climb to about 4000 plus feet. My approach is to stay slow and enjoy the view. It’s not unusual to see cars and motorhome’s speed by me and the slow lane trucks. What’s the rush?
It doesn’t take long before the windshield is covered with unfortunate bugs. The worst is when I find honey bees on the glass. Didn’t find any this time.
This is the guide to out night spot.
Here we sit in the Mountain Home RV park. Just beyond the distant tree is a High School and an evening football game with lots of cheering and a band.
This is wonderful to me since I used to shoot Friday Night high school football games while in Boise, Idaho (KTVB- Newsbeat 7) back in the mid-seventies. I love the sound of a game in the cool fall evenings yet I’m not much of a sports fan…go figure!
