Over the last couple of months there has been a series of Hot Air Balloon flights over Zion Canyon. The views from such a perfect platform suspended high over the canyon are spectacular. Once I researched why the same balloon was making these trips I discovered the Balloon Over Zion Expeditions. As it turns out the hot air pilot is a fellow named Steiger. He’s the first pilot to navigate a hot air balloon across Zion National Park in the third flight of his 10-flight expedition.
Steiger at the helm high over the scenic canyon drive area of Zion National Park. He’s accompanied by local artists and photographers, who will interpret the journey in their own style and medium.

This morning was absolutely perfect for the balloon as it was able to hang for an extended time, allowing the passengers incredible vistas. I can’t wait to see what they saw.
