Illegal Paraglider in Zion

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERASANYO DIGITAL CAMERA  Flying in Zion National Park requires a permit. Today, an adventurous paraglider, from a landing strip outside the park, managed to fly through illegally. Here’s a couple images I shot from my camp site in South Campground looking at Bridge Mountain. The Park Rangers requested the local Sheriff’s Department to meet and inform the pilot upon landing. Hopefully the fine wasn’t too high. It really was a truly beautiful sight against the red sandstone and blue sky. Probably as close as one can come to being an eagle or condor in the canyon.
