On this rainy, drizzly Oregon Coast day Kathleen Augsburger, and her Harbor Lights Middle School class were hosted by Josh Lord of the the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology and Shoreline Education for Awareness volunteers at Coquille Point. Several spotting scopes were set up to observe the native and migrating shore birds and harbor seals. Afterward, the class visited the Free Flight Bird and Marine Mammal Rehabilitation Center where they saw several birds being nursed back to health.spotting scope setting up the scopes Pam with a hawkPelican Owl
