Several readers have asked to see what it’s like inside our house. I’ll be the first to mention that living in the motor home isn’t roughing it for me. A little background, I moved from a wonderful “conch style” home in Portland, Oregon where I lived for 24 years.
Knowing I wanted to continue to do web work and be able to communicate from any where, I put off moving into an RV or caravan until satellite internet was developed at a consumer friendly price. (I now use a Motosat/Hugesnet satellite dish.) The time came to move from the house, retire and live what I had dreamed of for many years, a life on the road. This lifestyle gives me the freedom to move about, see new places and meet new people. This 39 foot Newmar Dutch Star motor home is where Blue and I live. (if you click on the image above you’ll be able to see Blue sitting in the driver’s seat.) This shot was taken at a rest stop half way between Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada. Here’s a very quick trip from outside to inside the motor home shot while we were in Bandon, Oregon a couple weeks ago. Please forgive my adlib narration.
Here’s a 3D view of the motor home while at Zion National Park last year. You’ll need Red/Blue glasses to see the effect. Also, you might want to click the image to make it larger.
